Coinbase CEO Brian Armstrong says the crypto exchange will indeed add support for the Lightning Network, one of the biggest endorsements yet for the blockchain that makes bitcoin (BTC) a more realistic option for payments by dramatically speeding up transactions.

The new network comes after years of growth for Ethereum’s developer community, and will replace the Goerli testnet.

Trading volume has climbed to around $50 million since the service was introduced last month.

The plan, “Alchemy Scale Tier,” will consist of two options that let developers choose how much they want to commit to the platform, both financially and computationally.
